III. Correct Use, Installation, and Maintenance

Installation Points

• Before installation, confirm the reducer is in good condition and check that the dimensions of all parts connecting the motor and reducer match.**
• Before shipping, center the output flange and secure it with a support plate. The support plate should be removed after connecting and adjusting the mixing drum.
• After one week of use, the bolts between the reducer and the tank must be tightened to a torque of 300–350 N·m.
• If space permits, avoid vertical installation. Vertical installation requires significantly more lubricating oil than horizontal installation, which can easily cause the reducer to overheat and leak oil.
• When disassembling and installing components, avoid striking them with a hammer. When replacing gears, use original parts whenever possible and replace them in pairs.

Maintenance

• The reducer must be changed with 85W/90 heavy-duty gear oil after the first 250 hours of use. Thereafter, change the oil every 2,500 hours, but the oil change interval should not exceed one year.
• A magnetic drain plug is located at the bottom of the gearbox for oil drainage. When changing the oil, be sure to clean any metal debris from the magnetic drain plug.
• Check the oil level every 500 hours. Low oil levels can cause gear wear and bearing burnout.
• If the oil temperature exceeds 80℃, the machine must be stopped immediately for inspection.
• Check the cleanliness and sealing condition of the reducer output shaft weekly.

IV. Common Fault Diagnosis and Repair

Expert advice: If a large amount of copper or iron powder is found in the oil, it indicates that the internal gears or bearings are severely worn. The machine must be stopped immediately for inspection and repair to avoid further losses.
